Aftercare Guide
Your tattoo's final result depends on aftercare. Proper care ensures your tattoo stays beautiful for life.
Our partner clinic provides an INKLY aftercare kit (Gentamicin ointment, Antebate ointment, and 2 protective film sheets). You can start care immediately after the procedure.
CARE GUIDE
Step-by-Step Care Guide
Day of (right after procedure)
- Do not remove the film for 12-24 hours
- Blood and ink buildup under the film is normal
- Keep the tattooed area clean
Day 1-2
- Remove the film while showering
- Gently wash the area with hand-lathered body soap
- Pat dry with paper towels (avoid regular towels as fibers may stick)
- Apply a thin layer of Gentamicin ointment
- Cover with clear film (plastic wrap, etc.) for protection
- Repeat washing and ointment application 1-2 times daily
Day 3 onwards
- Wash in the shower each night and apply Gentamicin ointment
- Film is no longer needed
- For itching, apply a thin layer of Antebate ointment
- For severe itching, take antihistamines (e.g., Allegra)
- Thin skin will flake — let it heal naturally
- Settles in about 2 weeks
CAUTION
Things to Avoid
Soaking in the bath (avoid for at least 1 week, ideally 2)
Sea, pools, saunas, hot springs (avoid for 2 weeks)
Scratching or picking at scabs
Direct sunlight / sunburn
Alcohol-based disinfectant (too harsh)
Touching with dirty hands
Intense exercise (avoid for 1 week)
If you experience unusual redness, swelling, or pus, contact the studio or a medical facility immediately.
